Share More With Those You Care For

Today we wanted to step aside from posting a blog on planning an event and share something close to our hearts. I know we are not the only who feel the days just fly by; and that our texts/conversations with our loved ones have become business related around who is going to the store, paying the bills, or even cooking dinner.

Somehow, we forget and pause our busy schedule for just a second to send a text that could help continue growing our love. Uncommon Love wrote an articled called "40 Texts to Send Your Sweetheart" as an example of things we can do these days to make our loved one feel special.

Gina Senarighi, an educator and relationship coach stated that "for most of us in long term commitments, texting loses its sweetness over time. The longer you're together, the more likely your texts become tasks lists, to-dos, and grocery store items." And she is right. It's not that we don't want to send a nice text every so often, but most people assume that once they are "committed," they don't need to share these sweet texts since their partner already knows how he/she feels.

Whether you are just about to get married or have been married for 50 years, we believe and agree that these little acts of love, like sending a sweet message, can impact your relationship tremendously. "I'm still so glad we're in this adventure together" is one of our favorites.

No matter where you are in your relationship, give a few of these a try and see how the other responds both in a text but also with expressing their love for you.

Some other texts we love are:

  1. You are so good at __________. Seriously - WOW!

  2. Every day I love you more.

  3. Even though I may not say it often enough, I really appreciate the ways you help with the house. Thank you!

  4. If there were more people like you in this world, it would be a better place.

  5. Sweetheart, you inspire me to be a better version of myself.

Thank you Gina and Uncommon Love for reminding us that the little things do matter.
